insane huming noise in engine

Yes the TB does emit a buzzing noise when the ignition is on or the engine is running

I can only hear it when I am outside, cant be herd whilst driving afaik.

its not just humming, lots of clicking and clacking like relays going mad, followed by a change in the tone of the electrical noise...

I'm getting a weird sorta whining noise. I KNOW it's not the supercharger, i know what that sounds like. kinda like a squealing, but very faint. it sounds like metal on metal, and increases when i open the throttle. is this kinda the same thing, because i'd like to find out what the hell it is?

while this might be off the wall, are you sure it's not engine noise being broadcast over an aftermarket stereo? you can confirm the noise can be heard from outside of the car at idle?
