I have a C230. my AC Comp. is leaking badly, my AC Condensor has a hole in it from when a shovel fell out of a truck and when through the grill.

obviously fixing my AC would cost a fortune,

AC Compressor - $300-400
AC Condensor - $150-250
R134 Refill - $45-60

so would it be convenient in my situation to remove the AC comp. and get a shorter belt, any performance gains ? and where can I find a shorter belt ?

Just unplug the ac clutch, the clutch really does not use any power as you can turn it by hand very easy. By unpluging it it cant turn on. Althrough if the system is working it wont turn on anyways because of the pressure switch.
