Which gap is correct - .8 or 1.0 mm?

The owner's manual for a 99 C230 Kompressor states a sparkplug gap of 1.0 mm. When I put my VIN in the Mercedes WIS software, the associated web pages reference a .8 mm gap. Anyone know which is the correct one for sure? I am guessing 1.0 mm because that appears to be the gap on the currently fitted Bosch F7KTCR plugs but would just like to be certain.

most spark plugs come pregapped already, as long as you're not buying some cheapos.
