has anybody dont one yet... like a V8 ( C43 engine) 0r something from a E320 0r what not. or even converted there Normal C class to a AMG or BEtter? what would i have to do? Between a C43 and a Normal 97 C280, is the frame or maunting the same? i know with a C36 has the same engine block = same mounting points.

Drop in an SR20DET from an s15 with the jun 2.2 stroker kit. should get about 600hp! The best way to do it is to find a compleate doner car.

we have ppl who traded there 43 for 55's...and i think a 280 for a 320...

I've done a 3.2L swap on my C280. there are few members that have done a 5.5L swaps on their C43's. these swaps are pretty much straight forward, with very little to no modifications.

nenad, what's the gain on changing 2.8 to 3.2? this might be a good idea for me.

since I had the I6 versions, the gain was about 25hp. for your V6, it should be about the same, give or take a few hp.

Why not just find an AMG C36 or C43? Depreciation has make them very affordable.... Nice ones around $10-$15k.... :)

has anybody posted a write up on the v8 swap? im from the eastern coast US (nc) but right now im in zuriche,switz for the holidays, i could probably find the motor i want here for cheaper so it would be nice to kno more about wat i was looking for, thanks
