Problem with CD Player

When i purchased the car a pioneer CD player was already installed. The radio works fine, but when you shut the car down and remove the key it loses all the stored stations and settings. This is just super annoying and would like it fixed.

If you need the model number for the CD player I will edit this post when I get home. (dont know the exact model of CD player)

You may find more a little help about your issue on a Pioneer forum.

It sounds like the installer decided to use the 12v accessory from your 202 stereo wire harness for both the 12v and 12v accessory on your Pioneer HU.

So when you remove the key, the unit looses ALL power and resets to default.

You more than likely have to switch the memory & power wire around.
Very common mistake/overlook when installing HU's into these cars.

This happens a lot to people. You should try to do a search before you post this. You have to switch one of the wires. The constant memory line and the constant power line.
