I got 712's. Not sure how they differ, but I like them. Wet handling is pretty good, dry is good. They are a little noisy, but that could also be due to low series tires.

In all, not a bad tire. I'd get another set.

The y very good, and also, it also has better rated then those $140+ (good year, toyo..etc... companies)

I have the Ecsta MX version and I like them very much. I had the Competetion tires, V700 Ecsta and loved those, but not much in the way of tire wear, 4000-5000 miles on the street.

I have a new set of 712s on my replicas. For the money I thought they were great. Actually I liked them better than the Pirelli SS7000s I had prior, as well as the Nitto 450s (yuck!).

They gripped better, and even though they are a bit noisy, they weren't as noisy as the 7000s.

Not a bad tire for the money IMHO.

I have the same tires as denlasoul the Kuhmo Ecsta 712. They are pretty good. A little noisy on the road. But for the price and performance i would buy them again.

I'm surprised to hear you guys like the 712's, I thought they were lousy tires. They are narrow for the size and the sidewalls are very soft. They don't protect the wheel very well(at all) and the traction is just ok. I would much rather spend the money & get S-03's any day. No more Kuhmo's for me...

FOr what its worth, I know nothing about the Kuhmo, but I have the S-03's and they are wearing out FAST!!!! Awesome performance tire though, grips like crazy, but very very soft... :( Wish it would last longer, but I put like 2-3K miles on it and its begining to show signs of wear pretty good now..

May be next tiem I will try Kuhmo for longer life at the sacrafice of performance, I am not a race car driver after all... plus my little 320 is not exaclty a powerhouse of performance... :p

slk320,

You might try the Kumho Ecsta MX tire. Tire Rack testing shows them to be the equal of the S03's for grip and much cheaper.

As for noise I feel they are not to bad much, much quieter than a set of P7000's I had on my C280.

I agree that the S0-3's are terrific tires. But I would imagine anyone looking into Kumho are looking for value for the buck.

In this regard I think the Kumhos are very good for the money .

Now if you are gonna spend a lot more......

S0-3s
P-Zeros (well, i like em at least)
TS-1s
etc etc....

The Kumhos are like a little over $100 each online for 18"s....not bad!

Kumhos are just a fairy good CHEAP tire. 7/8 of my freinds with low pro tires have Kuhmos and they are all fairly good.
