Hi guys
as i was replacing throttle body on my C36 (got it rebuild from 4mercedes for 380$ shipped) notice that my main wiring harness looks like its falling apart. i know this is an issue with our cars so here couple of questions:

1. is it worth rebuilding yourself? how much time and money will be spent?
2. if to buy where is the cheapest place to get them
3. what other wiring harness go bad and how much they cost to replace and how hard are they to replace.
4. will new wiring harness suffer from same issues?

thanks

Got extremely lucky and got mine pulled from a wrecked 1995 C280 that recently had an updated harness installed.

$65 and 3 hours of my own labor. Joy.

Rebuilding it doesn't seem too impossible until you factor in having to reconnect all those ridiculous tips and connectors.

What year is your C36? I can never figure out what year the problem got fixed. I know by 97 you were ok but I hear 96 may be ok. Anyone know for sure?
