alrighty,, i tried to do some searches, but couldnt find much, i read that someone said it shouldnt be done to put 18x9's on their car, so im starting to wonder if i should try to even put 17x10s on the car...out of my mind? or is it possble or ami looking at way too much modification and might as well just go with like a 17x8 or something? is a 245 possible in the fronts? without rubbing?

what is your goal?

I think you could do 17 * 10s in the REAR, but I would run a 255 to avoid any rubbing...and what is the offset of the rims? Oh, and I wouldn't do a 245 up front without CONSIDERABLE rolling/pulling, and even then, I wouldn't hold my breath...

well my goal is not to rub, im not that well informed with offsets, and such, i think i will just play it safe and keep around 8.5 or 7.5 or so for the 17's

18x9 fronts run 225/35/18

you can run a 8.5 inch wheel in the front and a 9.5 in wheel in the rear and it shouldent rub, that is with the correct offsets and tire sizes

you'll be fine...I was lowered close to three inches on that setup with ZERO rubbing ;)

17x10" with a 40mm backspace will work correct?? I hope so as this was my planned rear size........

17x10" 255/40/17 et40

...am I asking for trouble. I swear I've heard of someone running this without problems.

well as to the AMG wheels that i supposedly won on Ebay....the jerk off said he already sold them to someone locally....what an asswipe, if he did that he shoulda removed his listing....so i said, the hell with it, im just gonna report his ass...b/c i think if i retract the bid, then it puts something on me, that allows sellers to see that ive retraced a bid before..i dunno...all i know is i was excited...not anymore :( haha

not on my AMGs. I currently run spacers on my Club Lineas in the front (3mm), but the OEM C43 wheels bolted on perfectly

hmmm....45 eh? Are you sure they are a 5 * 112?...If so, yes, you will need spacers all around for them.

I mean you can run spacers all around...it's not a big deal...if you run 10mm hubcentrics, you'll be fine.

45 offset on 5x112 sounds like it was inteded for a VW Passat exclusevily.

I was able to fit 245s up front on 8.5x19" rims, but it was on a project car i was working on, and like brandon said - considerable amount of effort to make it work. the fenders are so far out from stock, that you would want to just consider doing molded fender flares and cutting sheetmetal for a much cleaner look.

the setup was 37mm offset on 245 rubber with 10mm spacers. even then it was REALLY snug

yeah i think they were off an audi or a VW, so...im still shopping around for wheels right now, so im still debating on what to get, i would rather not do spacers....

spacer are fine if they're hubcentric. the rims i was telling you about are going up for sale tomorrow if you're interested. they come with brand new rubber already mounted and balanced..
