View Full Version : Transmission in very cold weather

Last night it was very cold. When leaving work I warmed up the car for about 10mins.....when exiting the parking lot you stop at a stoplight. While leaving the stoplight the car was revving higher upon accelerating and moving slower than usual....pretty much it was slipping the 1st gear and not grabbing it all the way.

It only did this once but didnt really worry too much because it was just darn cold outside.

Happen to anyone else perhaps? Tranny fluid was done by dealer 10,000miles ago.

when cold, until properly warmed up the transmision stays in a lower gear until about 3000 rpm and then shifts, even if going slow, mine does it every morning when cold
