my dads is giving me his AMG 18's wheels from his 2003 S430, he's from LA coming down here to SF Bay 6 hrs away (approx.) He wants me to find out if it will fit my 95' C220 before he brings it, so it wont be a waste of time of travel with big cargos.

wheel info AMG chrome 18's 5x112 44 offset

please let me know if it will fit mine!

Width is not an issue, but the tire size might be. Run a 225 and 255 in the rear maximum for no issues...oh and yeah with some 10mm spacers it's all good. Go to ebaymotors and search "Ichiba 10mm hubcentric"

sounds like you know what u talking about so, i'm gonna go with that.... but let me make it clear ....

so you said 225 front ? but what series 40 ?

and 255 rear what series ? 35?

and when u say 10mm spacer is that front and rear or just rear?

thanks because i'm gettin these wheels for free... i really want to get it!!!!!!!!!

let me know if everything i said is all good... thanks!

your gonna need 4 spacers, 2 front and 2 rear.

225/40/18 and 255/35/18 should work fine

Like me I have 19x8.5 front adn 19x.9.5 rear with 225/35/19 and 265/30/19 rear and its fine

you want your offset to be around 35mm and a 44et with a 10mm spacer makes it 34mm offset

dont forget longer lug nuts!

dont forget the holes for teh wheel bolts are larger too.. so you may need different bolts.
the offset is an issue.. I think with some thin spacers they will fit.. Ive een a W210 E430 with W220 18" amgs.. they fit.. but he had thin spacers.

I know they are 5x112.. Im saying the wheel bolts for w220 wheels have larger diameter bolt holes.. therefore larer diameter bolts compared to the stock W202 wheel bolts.

If I remember correctly the W202 uses 12mm bolts vs the S class 14mm so as stated previously you need longer lugs as well as lugs with a broader shoulder.

No. Its the distance from the center of one hole to the next.

edit it is the diameter of an imaginary circle that passes through the centers of each of the bolt holes: Click me (http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/tech/techpage.jsp?techid=92)

you need two sets of these

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ichiba-10MM-Wheel-Spacers-Adapters-Mercedes-Benz-Class_W0QQitemZ220074866471QQihZ012QQcategoryZ4261 4QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

note that for $20 (per set), you can buy longer bolts

Yeah for $270 you got yourself a brand new rims for your car.
Excluding the $400 for re-chroming plus tires w/c will cost
you around $800. $100 for mounting and balancing. Plus alignment if you want to get one. That's another $75.00 :p ;)

no the stock S430 wheel bolts will NOT fit your car.
you will indeed need custom bolts of some sort to make them fit.

Why not ask a good local wheel store around your area?

I doubt any members here have hands on experience with such wheels.
