There are HID kits you can buy to put into your original headlight. These kits cost $150 & up. Some people say that these HID kit will blind people though. Projectors are best for HID because they do no reflect light in all different directions like Halogen reflectors do. However, I have seen people with HID's and they do not seem to blind me. That is because I think they aimed it very low.

You might wanna just get the projector headlights on eBay and get a separate HID kit for them. You wouldn't want a no name HID.

if you want the look of HID, without spending a lot, get the regular crystals and buy some 55W 8000K Xenon BULBS

No, he does not have HID bulbs. He has Halogen bulbs filled with Xenon gas. Xenon filled bulbs claim to be brighter and give off better color than regular Halogen bulbs with the blue tint around it.

I wouldn't get any of those cheap stuff either. But make sure its 55W and not any higher.

You could try this out http://www.club202.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=10241&highlight=luminics

Not sure about the eBay headlights but if its similar to the OEM headlights the ones circled would be the high beam and the outer one would be low beam. I don't know what bulbs those use. For you fogs, I would get the same color as the Low beam. And yea it looks like theres only 2 bulbs. one for the circled and the other for non, and make sure its different size bulbs for Hi/Lo

You might wanna get the Pure Blue bulbs from Luminics if you want that HID color... 6000k is a good temperature to get but halogen's are not very accurate when they say its 6000k. For example my friend bought PIAA's that said were closest to HID and that shit was 4100K. It looked same as his stock bulbs on his ML. Good luck with these.

the inner one is the foglight and the outer one is the high/low beam (dual filament)...you want the outer ones, but I bought the xenon bulbs for the fogs as well...might as well.

if you want the color of those HID's,
consider getting Philips Diamond Vision. their are around 5000K in color temp and their light output isnt that bad.

as someone stated before, if your really in-need of HID's.. just aim your headlights as low as possible to not blind.

I'm still looking for a set of brighter than halogen HID/Xenon headlights with 'Crystal' reflectors (not 'Projectors') for my C43.

I'm trying to obtain the similar brightness of the OEM Xenons (as on my C280), and do not want the blue look:
http://danielsternlighting.com/tech/bulbs/blue/blue.html

I now see a set that may be what I'm looking for:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160188801427

I've asked the seller some questions.

Has anyone here bought and/or used these?

It appears that these are just 'crystal' lamps for halogens. I read that retrofitting lamps with reflectors designed for halogens have a poor beam pattern when Xenon bulb kits are installed and often blind oncoming traffic because of the poor beam pattern. Therefore, I'm looking for HID/Xenons lamps with crystal reflectors designed for Xenon bulbs, and am still unsure if the set I linked to in my previous post are actually designed for Xenon bulbs.

(I've not yet received any answers from the eBay seller I questioned about the HID/Xenon projectors.)

Understand. Well let me know if u decide to get these crystal headlights, I'm just in your neighborhood. Read more about it. Those projector ones are too ricey for me and um not getting good feedback either. Check out the cars like ocklasse or ron, i believe its the same headlamps. Theres a way to not blind people, i just don't know how they explain it. Or just spend 1300 dollars for a real oem hids :)

Kropf, there are no Chrystal Headlights designed for HID, non-projector at least. If you're worried about the beam pattern, it is a little odd, but not that bad. I'll take a pic of mine and post it up today or tomorrow. I have the same headlights with a $90 (shipped) HID kit from ebay. Then you can think it over.
