Man, that is some serious damage! By the looks of it, I'd say your poor car is totaled. :( I hope you are ok and did not get seriously hurt.

BTW, check your original post to see how I converted the [url] tags to [img] tags so that the picutres will appear.

Sorry for your accident.

But, that is a very easy fix for a compitent body shop. Hell it looks like it barely cracked the tail light. What did you get hit by that was sitting so low?

I'd estimate in the $5000-5500 range.

I got hit by a VW Jetta. I dont know how she couldnt have seen me. My LED Nights are bright. But not i have to find out where i got my tail lights so i can get it ordered again and all. The good thing is that the airbags didnt deploy. It that did... that would suck. But pretty much what u see is what it looks like. I had to ripe off half the back bumper because it kept hit the ground and scraping the wheel. Hopefully theres no frame damages. If there is.. thats going to suck alot. I can just say good bye to the car.

Oh man! That is horrible, had the same thing happen to me a few months back, the dammage was almost identical. I brought it to the best place in my area and eneded up in the $4500 range. Thank god for insurance! Never thought I would say that ever until that happned. Good luck. -Kyle

The thing is that i want to get my car fix.. I love my car.. its been good to me. But if i come to the point where i need to get a new car. Im probably looking at a amg style or a c280, 1999 or 2000. If not im just going to get my a brand new mercedes. what something good to pick now adays. I been looking online. I have the day off tomorrow and planing on going to the mercedes dealerships we have around to check some new ones out. I might prossibly think bout moving up in class and going to a E. what does everyone think?

PS.. taking it to the body shop on sat. A place called true performance. located in columbus ohio. either there or achbach industrial.. Not sure if any of u hear of them. Heard there the best here in ohio for there body shop.. Input would be nice if anyone knows bout these two places. or experiences

cost about $7,000. so i think urs will cost a little more as there appears to be more structural damage. for mine they replaced the bumper, tail light assembly, quarter panel and of course repainted the entire area (got rid of some previous marks on the trunk :) ) anyways good luck.

those back and neck pains can be easily cured by driving a C43 :D ... and im sure those pains will compensate the cost of one! :p

I been looking for a c43 but i havent found one yet. I want a black on black but fairly low miles. none of the 2 tone leather. Completely stock. And also close to where im located so i dont have to drive half way across the united states to pick it up.

I barely notice my Bulging disc while driving my 230K ;).

Hope it all works out and you get something for the inconvenience.

What year was the car? If the repair is extensive the
insurance company may declare the car totalled. In which case
you argue like hell with the Jetta's insurance company (assuming it was her fault) to give
you top dollar for it and then buy another car. This happened
to me when my 190E was tailended by a semi and totalled. I complained
to the truckers insurance company and they gave me a good
price for the car. Went out and bought a C220. The accident
turned out to be a blessing in disguise.

sorry about the accident. Seems like bad week for columbus 202's. I just got a quote for 6000 dollars for repairs on my car. I havent heard of true performance body shop. I have heard of true 2 form which is located in dublin and supposed to be good. I took my car to 3C body shop back in 2000 and they did a horrible job. You can call Crown or Germain mercedes to see if they fix it or shop they suggest

True Performance is recommend by crown mercedes. they are certified by mercedes. If you dont take it there then the best place to take is it AchBach. They are the best In ohio rated. They only do high end cars. PM me maybatch2000 and let me know what place your looking at.

Checked out the craiglist. The 280 is looking pretty good.. its clean. I think they will declare my car totalled.. Im not looking at it that way right now bc i love my car. Thats my babe. Its like losing my own flesh and blood.

Just going to have to wait and see.. The insurance people are going to be looking at it on friday.. Im going to tell them to do a good inspection. Should i take it to a body shop to have them look at it and see what their estimate for the car cost will be to fix it?

I'm sure they'll ask for several estimates, and you want to
make sure you get the most expensive ones! Don't fret if
the insurance company declares it totalled. You'll most likely
be able to get another 280 even better than the one you've got.

i work at a chiropractic office with a couple PI cases. For these the other person's insurance covers all their chiro cost 100% for the most part.

Also i was taking to a very good body shop in my area (my car was just hit AGAIN in the rear-driver side door) and the guy said that if the damae is over 70% of the vehicle's value then it is considered totaled. The insurance must then give you the value of the car in YOUR area not the KBB value as it differs in every location.

Just some more info for you, hope it helps and hope you feel better to!

Im thinking bout getting a 2003 c240. I current have a c220 (wrecked) still waiting for the insurance company to move along with it. I took it to the body shop and they priced it out to fix is $6,620.14 and i know i cant forget bout the the 14 cents. Plus there might be more damages bc he only did a brief look at it. But i came across a c240 2003 black on black. NICE i have to say. It has 43K on the odometer and a clean bill of health. What are the pros and cons of the vehicle. They offered me $16,500 for it.. Its been sitting on the lot for bout 60 days and they have a 60day turn around date.
