Haynes manual for my C220 says should change the
evaporative charcoal cannister every 30/40k miles.
Anyone ever done this? Do you have to get it from the
stealership? Can't find it on any of the autoparts sites
I use.

I think this is referring to the cabin filter. This filter can be either charcoal or not, just depends on the one you get.

If the charcoal canister is indeed the cabin filter, then you can get it at the Dealer and possibly from online sellers.

I think timmyj51 is talking about the cannister that is part of evaporative recycling system from the fuel tank, not the cabin filter.

Yes! This is what I'm talking about, not the cabin filter.

My bad. Get the part number from the dealer or look up the part on one of the many olnile parts suppliers. Most likely cheaper from online stores. ;)

Please post the part No when you get your hands to it. What page is it in your manual?

Called the stealership and they said the cannister costs
$120. Will pass on replacing mine.
