good question i would like to know that too, like are they hot enought to melt ice after a certain point, or ore they just warm enough to stop fluid from freezing

I've been told by a Mercedes mechanic buddy of mine that they are heated.. Maybe he was just referring to my car, that I'm not sure about..

I guess one simple way to do test is to get the car to normal operating temperature, then spray a paper towel, then see if it's hot..

Never tried it myself, just an idea.

There are a lot more parts involved than just the nozzles, I think if you don't have this stock it will cost around $300 USD for all the parts.

You can see the heated washer on the right

i definatly have the one on the right, but what are they exactly for, as in my first post. like melting ice? and are the always on when you squirt the fluid or when you have the defroster on as an example?

FWIW, according to the 99 USA-market sales brochure, the C230K and C280 have "heated washer nozzles" as standard features. The C43 has "heated washer nozzles, lines and resevoir." No doubt the 2000's have this too but I don't know the story for the previous years.

Well if anydoesnt have heated washer fluid or what ever gets heated, for the peope with out it there is a heat sheld on the fluid Reservoir remove it and the exhause headers should heat up the bottle.

I can confirm they are heated. I sprayed the window last nite and you can see the steam from the washer fluid as it hit the glass.

Just as a reminder, MB specifies an additive for washer fluid for use during the winter. I forget what it is called but you can get it at the dealer. I have no idea whether it is better than the stuff you can buy at the auto parts store, but supposedly it doesn't freeze as quickly when it is sprayed onto the cold glass. Hopefully someone else here has real-world experience with the stuff and can enlighten us.
