I have a code for the heated Oxygen Sensor Bank 1, Sensor 2.
Where is this sensor located?
What is the best way to access for replacement?

ooohh i got the same code P0141 bank 1 sensor 2
the guy at auto zone told me its in the section after the manifold and before the cat .
Is this right?

Another thing, whats the difference between the $100(Bosch universal) and the 50$(Generic) one on ebay?

All help is appreciated

Found them!! But it appears that only 2 oxygen sensors exists. One before and one after the Cat. Is this correct, only 2?
Are they the same?

Purchased the before heated O2 sensor. The code is Bank 1, Sensor 2 (after cat). Can I use the before cat sensor as the after Cat sensor?

Bank 1 = Drivers Side
Bank 2 = Passenger Side
Banks are confusing since only 2 sensors exists
Sensor 1 = Before Cat
Sensor 2 = Behind Cat

Banks are confusing since only 2 sensors exists
We have "Driver Side" and "behind Cat".

Dont know but it is a difference between the Bosch universal and the OEM replacement units. The universal one is $78 and requires rewiring to the old OEM plug. The OEM replacement is $110 and is plug & play. Best prices found at Autohaus Arizona parts for the OEM replacement.

Autohaus site: http://www.autohausaz.com/search/product.aspx?sid=a1p1do451lchyd55umwgcb45&makeid=800016@Mercedes&modelid=1195477@C280&year=1995&cid=oxygen@oxygen&gid=5132@Oxygen%20Sensor
Benzpartstore for universal (look at bottom of page): http://shop.benzpartstore.com/buy.php?make_text=mercedes&model_text=280_series&year=1995&part_name=oxygen_sensor&brand_name=bosch&ml=&make_code=MB
Found these rewiring instructions: http://www.boschautoparts.com/NR/rdonlyres/D90D5AD3-7E41-439E-B271-20A76139E0F7/0/OxygenSensorInstall.pdf

Its easy but does require a special socket. The inline 6's at least have the bank 1 sensor 1 under the car right in front of the cat. The #2 is just after the cat. No they are not interchangable.

OEM replacement is exactly the same as the Sensor you will be replacing, meaning that the wires and such are the same lenght as the one on your car. Universal would work as well, but wire length is not the same length as the one on the car. You may have excessive wire length, which may be difficult to tuck away under your car.

Tucking shouldnt be a problem, its accessing the socket...i think im gonna go for the universal one as i can rewire it, which shouldnt be that hard.

Do i have to drop the exhaust or can i work with the available space?

if you dont have an O2 sensor socket, you will need to lower the exhaust a bit.
