I haven't had the chance to check the fuses yet, but this evening my rear window defroster, turn signals and hazards all went on the blink. When the defroster button is pushed, it lights for a fraction of a second and turns off. The turn signals stopped working in the middle of traffic. After parking for a while, they worked, but were initially blinking slow. Then they were fine for a few miles, and then failed again. Do these systems have a common element?

BTW, I have a '96 C36.

Perhaps they do.
How about your battery? Are they still good?
How about your alternator?

sounds like the N10 relay is the culprit. its the longest one in the relay box, usually in the middle.

Many thanks for the reply. Is the N10 relay also known as the multi-function relay?

Yes, also known as the combination relay. If that is the
problem you can get one from autohausaz.com for $55.

Thanks guys! A new one should be arriving today. Second time, in a year, replacing that one. Hopefully, I got a bad relay last time, otherwise, I'm going to have to figure out what is taking the relay out.

Just a follow-up for everyone. Replacing the N10 relay cured my problems. Thanks to all who helped out!
