Wiper problems

Hey ppl, well been having some wiper blade issue that started today basically when i turn the wiper on it sweeps over from left to right then on the way back stop at about 45 degrees and i can hear the motor try.

Any ideas what it could be.. dont want to spen $$$$ for somehting simple


i did lube everything up already with lithium grease

Happened to me too, although wiper was under warranty so brought it in and said my gears were stripped in the motor, $600 repair but I know there are a bunch of threads on wiper motors here and on other boards.

well if the lube dosent work you may need to get it re geared. big bucks

Hey I had the same problem. I bet it's the same thing that happened to you. Check out my thread on the bottom of this page:

I took pics and it's pretty straightforward. Basically a lot of removal of plastic parts - just be careful not to break them as esp in the winter they can be really brittle. Let me know if you need any tips - if your motor's working it's prolly the same as me.
