hey all, i have a 95 c280, 165k on the odometer. the car was acting kind of strange, the srs light had come on, then the battery light came on and the car started to bog out and slowly shut off. i replaced the battery and the car ran fine until i ran the battery dry, not knowing that it wasnt being charged by the alternator. i called a autobahn specialist and they said it is either the alternator, or more likely the voltage regulator. has any body else had this same trouble or has any helpful information? thanks

Voltage regulator is a lot cheaper to replace. Use the search button for more information on both of these.

sounds like its just running off the battery, most likley its the alternator

it sounds to me like the fuel actuator.it happened to my car before till i found out the engine shut down because of the fuel actuator and the coils.it cost me 1800 to have it fixed.

i ordered a voltage regulator for 33 bucks shipd, ill keep you posted how it turns out.
