I purchased a 1998 c280 over the weekend. Its an ok car. starting to grow on me a little. Insurance totalled out my 1995 c220 and asked if i wanted to keep the car. My answer was yes. Im thinking bout taking it to a body shop and getting it fixed. With the c220 that can be my project car. In ohio there is an auto crossing track in the summer times so I'm going to start working on it to get it ready for it for this year. Hopefully. What are some things that i can do to the c280 that others have done or some things for suggestions. Im trying to decide on a set of wheels someone is selling. THinking bout getting 18" on it. Not sure what i want to do to it.. Might keep it stock.

insurance asked you if you wanted to keep your totaled car???

my sister totaled a c230 and they didnt let her keep it, she had to pay $2000 to keep it, the car was bought with cash

I live in ohio.. Maybe different states say different things. I had to take my title to a BMV for then to change the title to salvage. After that i fax it over to them then they mailed me a check

I say replace whatever you need from your 220 onto to your 280, then fix the 220 and sell it, or sell it as is. Im saying that because it doesnt really makes sence to own the same car unless you are in love with it or you re a collector and lets face it, 202s are not the best choice for a fast track car... With the money you will get from your 220 you can buy another car that exactly fits your demands for your project.
