I'm thinking of dropping my car more than the usual 40mm after dropping my previous car 40 and it still being slightly high.

Anyone know of any companies or anyone got any pics of their car lowered this much? I'm probably going to be fitting 17" wheels aswell.

I have googled and found one site but it says for C250 and C280, would these not be compatible with a C230k Sport? I thought they were all the same in that respect.

Thanks for your help! G.

They're definately not all the same. i had eibach springs of a c230k fitted to my 280 cos the head of the eibach office in my country said "it doesn't matter, the weight difference is negligible". i believed him, fitted the 230k springs, and my car kept bottoming out on almost every speed bump. I then fitted the correct 280 springs and havent had a prob since

Last time i checked, Eibach did a 60mm drop, but if i were you, i'd consider Koni adjustable coil-overs (you can adjust your height infinately between 20 and 70mm), as 60mm is quite a drop...looks hot, but you'll be scraping your car everywhere. They're a bit more expenseve than the others, but they're the best in the game...

Ok, thanks for that, I shall look into it, it may just have to be 40mm as the car still needs to get over speed humps!!:p

Did you swap out the shims as well to achieve the 60mm drop? The shims do make a bit of a difference going from #5 to #1 is almost 20mm difference... Just a thought... - Bryan

koni's are a good 45mm drop, combined with 1 pads its a nice low look but still very driveable.
