I've had several people request that i put up pictures of the process so here i am. I have just received some of the supplies to make the intake.

2x silicon 45 degree bends
1 silicon 90 degree bend
3ft 3inch aluminum pipe
fiberglass sheets and resin
2x flexible couplings
a lot of little clamps

waiting for :
aem dryflow filter

Hey whats the fibreglass for?,are you making a filterbox?

yeah sort of. the fiberglass will be used to make sorta a barrier to seperate the engine bay. i will put up sort of a wall around where the stock air box used to be. so the heat won't be anywhere near my filter

ill be watching this topic because im thinking about putting a CAI on my 94 c280 too. post pics if you can.

i have a question for those of you who already made a cai. Did you get rid of your air temp sensor? The sensor that's after the MAF on the right side of the engine right before the intake manifold. i'm having trouble fabricating something to hold that sensor in there.
