Hi guys
recently my CEL came on so i stopped by my mechanic to check it out. scan showed 3 errors under traction control (not engine) directory.
error1: right axle VSS
error2: left axle VSS
error3: EE/EA/CC error (something like that)
do you know what those mean? what do i need to replace?
i am still driving the car. will it cause other issues?
thanks

vss are your speed sensors. ee/ea/cc has to do with electronic idle/ throttle/ cruise control. check if your asr/esp fuse is good.

i will do that. do you know by any chance which fuse is it on C36
also even if i reset the CEL by disconnecting the battery it comes back after hard driving. if i drive normal i dont think it would even come back.

Your car is not made to be driven like that!:D
But really mine does run a bit off after a hard run. I have a few friends that work at a benz dealer and they said its normal. It has to do with the adaptive ecu's. I get a higher idle that takes a bit to go back to normal, shifting will be a bit off. The joys of owning a AMG!

i have 95 C36 with 4 speed tranny. i dont think i have adaptive ECU.
regardless CEL shouldnt come on after hard driving.

Mines a 96 and I do. Most of the 90's do. And you never know. When your on it hard the ECU goes into a differnt mode at WOT and goes richer than under normal driving, so it might cause a light if something is not up to par.
