want to buy headlights but...

i want to buy these headlights (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/94-00-MERCEDES-W202-PROJECTOR-HEADLIGHT-CHROME-C230-C36_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33710QQitemZ2701002 17948QQrdZ1) off ebay but one thing that bothers me is this:



* it fits on stock 94-00 Mercedes Benz W202 C-Class all models (C220/C230/C230 Kompressor/C280/C36/C43) for the United States and Canada version only

whats the difference from Australian version and US version. wouldn't it be the same?? :confused:

US have 4 pin and Euro version have 6 pin connectors for the headlights...search on that.

ya and im sure that US has a diffrent bumper tie down because of diffrent safty laws at least you get manual tranny down there

don't buy them

i bought those and had them installed back in october and as soon as it rained, they let in moisture inside the housing, and during the winter the right one developed a huge crack

i'm going to have to replace them soon

I've got a set of crystals from america and they only have 4 pins, we have 5 pins. If you get them from american in 4 pin you will lose the parking / city light at the front and have a check light bulb on your dash.

I have been meaning to make a parking light for both crystals but haven't got around to it / know how to do it.

Same story here, I did install a 5th pin and connected the city lights to it on each headlight.

It works fine but when I have the largest beam on, the blue light lights up in my dash and the check light too. When I change to the medium beam all comes back to normal so no problem.

I wont talk about the quality of my projectors as I did in detail when I bought them, search under finally I got my projectors and the headlights and tailights gallery and you ll find something you want to read as I bought them from the same asswipe.:bandit:

I have these headlights. They are pretty nice. (not made so great though)
If you do buy them do the following.
Get HID's
pull off the glass and clean it, mine had like a film of dirt over it all since i got it, cleaned the projector lense and the glass pannel and its soo much brighter.

make sure that your projector reflectors are the right way (one of mine came installed upside down.


All fixed today along with oil change, diff oil change, steering shock replaced, and new ball joints for the front tomarrow.
