okay so months ago i had my CEL come on, pulled the code, and it was p0170 - maf was reading very low cfms at idle.
The car barely ran when it was cold, and shifted hard as fuck

so i changed the MAF and the car ran GREAT!!! about 2 days later CEL is on again :(

My car runs OK now, idle is a little rough (misfiring), and when it's HOT, it stutters and sometimes bogs down.
I've run 2 bottle of fuel injector cleaner (chevron), and changed the fuel filter (those metal clips are a nightmare)

Pull the codes today, and i'm getting p0170 and p0173.

so originally i only had the 170 (bank1) which could have very well been my o2 sensor - but I changed the MAF b/c of the symptoms.
now with the new MAF, i'm getting the 170 & 173 (bank 1 & 2) which points to the MAF. but the wierd thing is it stumble and bogs down only when HOT!

I appreciate all and any help, and thank you in advance.
If anyone has a better idea than I might, please chime in! I know that some of you may ignore me because i'm an ass on the forums, or maybe it's my wack rims, but I'd like to get this thing running smooth again with no codes!

check if the O2 signals are oscillating at idle? if not, that might be your problem.

hey, i just got your PM. i'll have to take you up on that..

as far as your codes - if they're suggesting bank 1 and 2, i've got my test probe (rear o2 sensor) that i'd like to change out if we can do it at your buddy's shop.

mine are still functional, i just rolled the magic mileage and we could use my old ones to troubleshoot your car, since i saved the front one that i've already changed.

PG -

just give me a call sometime. The buddy i was thinking about was at SEARS, and they don't allow cars to go on the rack. i was just gonna use his OBDII scanner.

i have another buddy with a shop down in kearny mesa who's lift we MAY be able to use, but i dunno.

either way give me a call and we'll figger sumthin out
