I'm gonna find out this weekend whether the w208 lower control arm bushes fit the w202 (since they both run on the same platform), but before i go thru all the hastle, has someone considered this before? (i also intend to check out the w201 LCA bushes)

I'm on this endless quest for a tighter suspension setup, and part of this quest are better LCA bushes for the 202, as the stock ones are absolutely useless in terms of durability, steering feedback and responsiveness (pretty much useless all round)
This is purely because the 202 bush has only got 2 pieces of rubber connecting the center part to the outer ring which constantly break, whereas with the 201, and with various poly bushes (which i can get made here, but all the dealers seem to be chimps) they're solid all the way thru and seldomly break.
I'm just interested as to whether the 208 LCA bush is worth pursuing

"Mbenzman" over on MBW installed polyurethane LCA main bushings a few days ago on his CLK55 cabrio. I have received my set from LPD Auto and will have mine installed next week.
Yes, they fit nicely.

Hey, checked them out...they fit perfectly and they are far better quality than the 202 bushes in terms of materials used and in terms of actusl quality of tyhe product. they're solid rubber on the inside, as opposed to the half rubber-half nothing on the 202 bushes. They also have all the metal housings and inner tubes as the 202 bushes, so it's a perfect fit.
Only problem is that it's 3 times the price of the 202 bush replacement kit, but in my view it's definately worth it.
However, i don't think that they'll suit me, as the rubber seems softer than the 202 rubber in the bush, which means that there won't be an improvement in steering communication and responsiveness...the quest continues...
I'm still looking into the 201 Cosworth bushes and the CLK55 bushes...I'll keep u posted

Can you post some part numbers for the 208 bushings that are direct replacement (and improvement)?
