temp scale almost hit 120 today

whats causing this, I know the weather is hot here in cali and theres alot of trafic but my sisters c230 doesnt get that hot, I have a c280

I used to hit 120 on my moto in traffic sometimes.

check the level of coolant in your car, and check for leaks.

it sounds like the thermostat has failed though, and is a tremendously easy fix. don't drive the car anymore, or you WILL blow the head gasket from an overheat with a C280.

I drove it today and the temperature stayed below 100

I was suprised yesterday tho, maybe it was just too hot outside

what will I do when 120s return :(

Are your fans coming on?

When was the last time you did a coolant flush?

I had higher temps and did a coolant flush with water wetter, new thermo and the car never gets that high anymore.
