When I turn off my engine, the engine fan starts running on full speed draining the battery... So now I'm pulling the fuse out every time I stop the eninge :(

Any one heard of this? Any solution to the prob?

I have a 99 C-180

This is only gonne stop the fan... I'ts not a solution to my prob.

Can the temp feeler or a relay be the prob?

its probably the fan control unit. also check if the wires between the fan and control unit are not frayed and grounded.

Just a wild guess. If you have one, the REST feature will heat the interior even with the engine off and uses the accessory fan. It should shut off if the battery voltage drops or if you start your car again but yours might be stuck.

I allso think its the fan control unit... but where is it located?
The wires and connection are just fine :)

the location varies from model to model. its usually close to the fan, either on the wheel well behind driver's headlight or under the bumper. just follow the wire from the fans and you should find it.

OK OK OK Unplug that connector when the car is off so it doesnt run. But when you start your car plug it in. i think its easer then pulling the fuse every time

I'm my case it is a relay, behind the left headlight, on the fender. It is aprox 2"X2" in size. Water has somhow gotten into it, I'm gonna try to dry i't to see if that helps before changing it

The part number (on my 99 C-180) is 025 545 3332
Like the quote say, it is behind the left headlight. Remove the inner fender inside the wheel arch, and ull see it :)

Hope this helps anyone with the same prob in the future :)
