i think that is just the way they are made. mine are loud too, you can here me comin up the street when they are on. the 203's are loud too. i think it has to do with the small diameter of them and the rpms they are spinning at. they only come on at a certain temp, maybe when the ac is on, too

I posted the same prob 5 days ago... Search! lol

The prob is one of three

1. The fan connection on ur radiator.
2. The temp sensor. (I think its by the water pump)
2. The relay in ur fuse box. (think it's called a relay, sorry guys i'm from Norway) lol

A friend is gonne look on mine to find out, he is a merc mek, so i'll get back to you ;)

My fan used to be quiet too... There is somthing wrong with it, so when i turn off the engine it starts running on full speed. I'm shure urs too makes alot of noice goin on full. But you dont hear it because ur prob driving like a mad man to get the engine heated enough to need the fan on full ;)

I'm my case it is a relay, behind the left headlight, on the fender. It is aprox 2"X2" in size. Water has somhow gotten into it, I'm gonna try to dry i't to see if that helps before changing it
