Just ran into this website via google, looks like this company is kind enough to make "aftermarket" upgraded speakers that will fit directly into our W202's.... has anybody bought these before?

Yea i dont think people with bose should bother with these, the bose aught to be just fine, i would think.
Mine aren't bose, and brand new i'm sure they'd sound ok, but they're old so i want to replace them.

For a nice clean upgrade those speakers look good but are pricey.
With Bose it was custom designed/tailored for W202 when it was being produced on paper so its kind of similar to these speakers in the above link.

seriously guys-
you just want to go with normal aftermarket stuff- making speakers fit just isn't hard
AND the bose stuff is awful
this thread makes me kind of sad

in all honesty most bose systems lack alot of true sound. they are mostly highs and no lows unless you add a subwoofer to compensate for that. im a installer by trade for over 13 years and most older bose systems really aren't that good. in most cases if you heard a true basic system in the sound rooms like where i work you will truley see what sound is suppose to sound like... like the say about bose Better Off with Something Else.

I'm not feeling the paper woofers but the tweeters do look good

A sub is definately needed if you really care about the sound basswise. Otherwise what is the issue with 202 bose?

it has neither highs nor lows... and sounds muddy everywhere?
