the custom piece that bolts to the boost/bypass valve is machined out of aluminum on a manual lathe. if you want one, i can have one made and shipped for $70.

unfortunately, right after installing this, the boost/bypass valve quit working. i reinstalled the factory setup, and if it still doesnt work, ill probably have it scanned. might need a new valve :(

Hey,
nice adapter, can i ask why you used a large filter for the bypass?

one, because larger is always better than smaller for filters, and two, my brother happened to have this one laying around and didnt need it!

I think they call those "velocity stacks" :)

does it sound bad after you put them on, i tried somthing like that out with PVC pipes, and the engine noise was a lil to much for me

I would like one of those flanges/adapters, but $70 is a little much for me, Cru328prod, did you make one you want to get rid of?

all you have to do is get some pvc piping and make sure its a snug fit, just slid it in the bypass. i could make somthing like that adaptor with autocad and a cnc machine. i would have to map it out.....which is a bit*h. Yes 70 dollars is pretty pricey. 20 dollar slab of aluminum, and maybe 20mins on a cnc machine.

i think modding the stock box would be better, let it have more of a "ram air" effect. cause without that box that thing sounds like a truck, and i always get laughed at because they have no idea lmfao

still waiting for the new valve....
modding a stock box would work, but you would still have the internal restriction where the pre and post sc pipes join, its very small diameter. also, sticking a pvc pipe into the valve sounds like a pretty bad idea.

the piece i have was made on a manual lathe, not cnc, so it took longer. yeah, if everyone had a cnc machine then it would be pretty easy and cheap wouldnt it? too bad thats not the case.

What if you just sold the ring with the screw holes drilled and tapped without all the tapering and such? I'd still buy it.

LMFAO that must of took you forever, the school i went to has cnc machines, i use to fab up parts for my camaro all the time. If i knew more about the S/C and how everything works on these 202's.......they'll be nooooo stopping me with A/M parts for you guys
