I have never done them, but I know how to take all that stuff apart and I am sure I can figure out the wiring. I am mostly into wiring stuff, I used to install car stereos and do neon lights and stuff.

Anyone out there live in New England? I live in the Springfield, Ma area, I want to get a pair of blinking rear view, I can install the covers but the wiring I can't do. I would be willing to come to you over a weekend or even during the week, for help.

Thanks

I know this thread is way old, but I am looking for help with this as well. They are the blinking/ folding, and I have the switch, wiring, and a new shifter plate. Anyone in the bay area or sacramento. I will compensate you for your time. Thanks.

and me!!
if you look at the "Featured storys" for the "Magic Mirrors" thread, their is a fairly rough guide, ive emplored nokia8088, to make a more concise guide for each step of what i beleive to be in the process.

hmm, well, I am going to try to see how much work it is or what a shop would charge. Probably a lot though.

the thing that is giving me some hope for a DIY install, is the guide i read for removing the door stuff... all sounded very straight forward and logical, if the rest is the same then it shouldnt be that bad once youre throughly fimilirised with whats going to happen.

prehaps the digital image lies but the quality nokia pulled off in his "magic mirrors" installation was superb, so Im finding it very difficult to justify letting some one else do it when it could be sunday afternoon project and costing nothing.

I can get the door panels off, but taking the mirrors off and doing the wiring is something else. Also, since my set is power folding also a switch needs to be ran to the center console, and I am sure parts under the dash, under the steering wheel, center trim area need to be removed to do this. I do not know how to remove these parts and do not want to break them in the process.
