memorizing radio stations

cant find it in the manual, I think its done by holding one of the 6 buttons for a bit but in my case it doesnt work, I change to button 6, find the station that I want to assign to that button and hold the button for a bit but it just goes back to the station that was there before

Tune to the station you want. Press and hold the button number for the preset where you want it set for about 5 seconds. Maybe I am remembering wrong but I think it puts out a quick chirp and the display flashes once to let you know it is set (I know one of my car's stereos did this!)

Just a reminder that anyone may have forgotten... if you press the # button the display will change and you can type in a station's number directly using the keypad. In other words, if you want to tune in 88.1 and you don't have it in a preset you can just press # then 88.1 on the keypad.

yea u just hold it there for about 5 seconds, looks like it did nothing at first but it'll eventually change to the station u set it at.
