Hey guys,
I've read several threads here about dash light that are burnt out. My deliema is that some of my led lights ie...mileage, temp clock are out. Not all of them but some of them. Can these be replaced or am I going to need to replace the console? I have a pic but I can't fiure out how to upload it on this thread.

they're actually bulb-fed LCDs with backlights. The bulb itself is likely still fine since the way you describe it sounds like some of the characters on the screen aren't showing correctly. for example, a 0 might look like an L.
what you'll want to do is search the forum for the cluster removal by a member named frenchy. it's got some info on pulling it all apart. there is a very very brittle ribbon cable that feeds the data from the EEPROM in the cluster to the LCDs in the faceplate assembly. These dry and crack, and become separated from the board after time, so the only fix is to ghetto-rig it. You can either wrap them with electrical tape, and clip them tighter to the board (which sometimes helps make that connection again, and shows all the characters on the LCD screens again) or buy a new cluster altogether. unfortunately, there really isn't any other fix.

I have a print out on the cluster removal but I wasn't sure what to look for once I have the cluster out. Hopefully these ribbons are dry cracked and I can just tape them. If they need to be replaced, about how much am I looking at to replace them?
