hey yall, just wondering if anyone knows of a chip tunner for a 95 C220. i wanna spend around 300. i found a powerchip that gives liek 20/20 (hp/tq) but it's around 500. so thats prolly my last choice. i can't seem to find any other c220 tunners, mostly just 230k and 280.

Powerchip gives you about 15hp at crank... and much less at wheels. I dont think its worth the price tag. For $500, I ll go for high flow cat and exhaust system plus intake. :)

I've been considering a mod like this for my 280, but I think now I will go for the intake and exhaust, considering I can get a good exhaust for the $800 powerchip wants for a reprogram.

hey thankx for the input. i checked upsolte, i ddin't see a c220 on teh database. the only reason i'm not considering intake and exhuast is cuz for intake, i dont' want my MAF to fail and for exhuast, i dont' want it to be too loud and nasty sounding cuz it is a 4 cyl (dont want a kinda rice sound). 6cyl sounds good though.

i just thought that a chip might just keep most of the car practically stock with a lil more power. unless there's a way to mod teh intake without runing the MAF, i'd go for that. :)

Anyone who has mess with C class exhaust knows how restrictive the cat could be. I personally use Car Sound High flow (magna flow) cat. It opens up from 1" to 2.5" I definitely feel improvement on the high end torque.

As far as sound, I use a 40" resonator and magnaflow muffler. It's very deep and doesnt emit any noise during cruising rpm. The only deep throaty noise I get is during the wide open.

I think upsolute makes a chip for your car. Try contacting them.

For the money, I'd change out the exhaust. Talk to speedybenz and CKlasse, those guys know their stuff.

hey, thankx for the input. i checked upsolute. they only make a chip for 230 and 280.

i am lookin in to a exhaust

headers, cat, resonator and muffler. new piping. i dont' wanna lose too much back pressure where i lose my lowend torque so i'll stay with 2.5.

as for intake. i' gonna try making a cold air.
