Hi!
I just wanna check with you guys before ordereing the mufflers for my C-180
I'm thinking og buying these Magnaflow mufflers:
# 12215
http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/shopexd.asp?zone=main&id=443
And this:
#12148
http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/shopexd.asp?zone=main&id=462
Anyone with experience with these mufflers? Are the #12215 gonna work well as a resonator?
All input is welcomed :)
hey,
Are you removing your cat?
The rear muffler could be alittle longer if you wanted(18")

See how the minimum distance between the dual out on the universal mufflers is 4"!...this makes for some very far apart tips...i had to bring mine together with bends.
I would have purchased a muffler with tips already on it but they dont make a 3" inlet item!!.

ya do NOT do that.
Get a all in one stainless muffler (#14815 or 14816) and then maybe in the middle of the car get a 14-22" magnaflow resonator depending on what you may want to do as far as resonance. hope that helps

Why don't you get this one instead? Magnaflow Muffler #14830.

I think i'm gonna go with #14830, It looks great on Ray99's car ;)
and I want as little resonans as possible, so maybe a 18" or even 22" resonator? But should I get the 4" or 6"?

I have the same muffler, but with larger tips on it. MeMyself, I would leave the stock resonator in, it just sound better that way.

Here's how it sounds inside the cabin with my C280 (from my other post):

Hello, the best option is the 22" magnaflow 4" body resonator. its the most compact and gives the best resonance tuning for a 2.5" pipe. I highly recommend it.

I dont want the stock resonator... The pipe diameter is smaler after the resonator then in front. so I want to build a cat back with the same diameter all the way.
Hey,
How did you go with this?
My brabus exhaust should be here within the next week, so I don't know what else I should get, if I should bother with the magnaflow resonator and high flow cat?
And we have 2 cat's on the w202? In aus there is a 2,500 on the spot fine and 10,000 fine for the business that fits the car with no cats so if i was to remove i would have to replace with high flow.
And isn't 2.5 inch too wide for the C180?

I had to put my exhaust plans on ice for the moment beeing :( I'm prob gonna have the mufflers made by mesurments, there is a company in norway that does it. I just havto measure the maximum room for resonator and muffler, and they tune the sound and flow for my car ;)
They are gonne use 2 1/8" pipes. If you use 2 1/4" pipes ull be fine ;)
