I've looked absolutely everywhere on the internet, and i've phoned around and nobody's heard of the philips diamond crystal globes. All i can find is the philips CrystalVision, which the site says is their closest globe to HID, but it's only 4000K!

Supposedly the Philips Diamond Crystal is 5000K...

i think the keyword "globes" is what's hurting you. my brother dated a chick from south africa and her usage of words used to confuse us, so we had to create a new "juanine" language to translate to "dumb american" english for ourselves :D

Haha! So then what does a "globe" mean in US English? Like globe as in global warming? :D

Thanks for tha link, but it seems like the philips diamond is a HID zenon bulb? I thought they were halogens...

So are they plug and play, or do i have to do the whole voltage/HID mod?

globe refers to a learning tool of the earth, or a spherical oblect.lol
bulb is what we call a "globe" here

yeah, and with my bro's gf we had to convert "bonnet" to "hood" and "boot" to "trunk" --- "petrol" to "gas" or "gasoline" etc.

globe is like a round atlas of the world lol. bulb being short for light bulb, or headlamp.

i believe they are still halogens, but simply coated with a blue dye to change the color of the light output, and filled with xenon gas.. so basically a fake HID and the 55w bulb is acceptable use in a stock "globe" assembly :D
