Ordered these from SuperBrightLEDs.com

I got the 39mm 6LED Festoon Hyper White. I think these seemed pretty bright and I think I might try the interior lights.

For the License Plate, you need 2x 39mm 6LED Festoon Hyper White

These are very bright for 6LED! The floor is lit, shown in the last picture. The camera couldn't take the ground pictures.

If anyone knows how to take better ones, I am using a Canon SD600. The last picture, I used Night Mode with my tripod.

you're using resistors correct?...look great!

Makes it easier for cops to run your plates at night. Good or bad? ;)

nice, they are bit brighter/blue than mine, oc you don't need resistors, they are only for blinking bulbs I think!

How did you install?

How did you install?

Just replace the existing bulbs. Remove the screws holding the lens and replace bulb. You have enough wire to pull the lens down which makes changing it easy.

Yeah, you only need resistors for the blinkers.

I replaced mine with the superflux led's and the only thing I don't like is that, just like yours, the light spills to the ground. I just want the plates to be lit.

No resistors.

Install was simple. It just replaces your stock bulbs.

LOL, Denlasoul, my friends said the same. But it's nice to see, and plus I don't drive much at night. Got them to look cool.

I think it's just the camera that makes it blue.

Isn't the new Lexus cars come stock with LED interior and plate lights?

They are very bright! I might tweak them to aim differently..

That bugged me at first, then I realized that all car's lights spill to the ground, just not to the same degree...every car I would see at night, I started noticing the same, then I got over it.

if you're running any kind of audio in the trunk it wont be long before they turn into strobes.

why is that?

Because of the subwoofer vibration :p

but does it just F-up the internals of the LED bulb? Why would it mess up that and not the regular festoons?

I believe he was just kidding. The LED's are actually sturdier than the regular stock, filament bulbs. Even cranking up my dual "11's all day, everyday (which I don't) won't probably do any harm to the license plate LED's.

the normal festoons dimmed with my 2 12s in the back but I haven't seen any dimming with the led?

And you never had this problem with the stock bulbs? That's odd. I went with a longer-size-than-normal LED so that it was snug-fit and got it from Superlumination which "seems" to be better in quality than the others. From about 50 or so different LED's that I got from them (by experimenting with different colors/types), I only had one lemon.

You need to be careful with LEDs, if you have a look on mbworld.org forums (w203) there have been people who have had them overheat and melt the housing, - to much current draw into them.

That said, they look good, a little to blue for my liking though :)

ahahha that's funny i installed them on my c36 and s500 with out a resister and it was fine for like a day....but you really do need to put in that other big resister its a 5w10ohm. once i put them in... never had any problems. and i have 2x12's running about 1000watts without flickers.

I did this mod last night with my son. My god the plate is bloody bright and the ground around it looks like it's floodlit.

Oh crap... I can forget about LEDs then, cause my sub makes the license plate vibrate like a 100 vibrators...
