I am thinking of buying a set of rear view mirror cover with the turn signal light built. Removing the stock mirrow cover and replacing with the new one doesn't seem to hard a task according to a CD I got on W202's, Has anyone ever done this mod and if so how do you hook up the wiring to the turn signals. My car is a 99 C280. I have a choice of Carbon Fiber look or unpainted, my car is Brilliant Silver, what do you think would look better the CF or painted body color and plain?:)

Many Thanks,

If you do a search there is much info on this topic. I am thinking about getting blinking mirrors also. I also have the 744 Brilliant Silver car. i think getting the mirrors painted would look better than CF. But i am not sure if you have other CF stuff it would be fine.

I decided to go with the paint it yourself type rather then the CF, I saw a silver Acura the other day with some CF on the outside, didn't lool good, If Mercedes had a darker gray it might work well

Benz: I saw your post in the other thread. You can do it man!! Its a real easy install. Maybe a point or two harder than the incabin filter but very easy!!

For your car use Koolvin post how to remove those late model door cards (http://mbclub.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2381)

Then simply run some 18 gauge wire in the door to your kickpanel. Then follow the process On CLUB202 (http://www.club202.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=59) on how to locate the wires in the gutter that blink.

And since you have the door cards off run an extra set of wires to the kickpanels as well just incase later you decided you want 210 folding blinking mirrors :)

You can do it man!!!
