So I have had these 2 subs sitting in my garage for about a year now. They were custom made for my brother's friend in NYC, but he never got around to building the box. My brother finally built me a box yesterday and finished it today after a year of waiting.

The box is fiberglass wrapped with carpeting for now. When I get money I am going to send it to the body shop for paint. Also we are going to be making an amp rack and some other stuff for my trunk.

If anyone in NJ or NY area would like one built contact me.

Anyway here are some pictures.

sounds really good the only problem is those subs each require 800w for them to sound proper. Right now I only have an Alpine amp that does about 800w total. So I have 400 split between the 2.

But they sound really clear on every song from rock, rap, techno, even pop (had girlfriends ipod! I swear)

I can't wait to get a new amp, some front and rear speakers and put my 4ch in :)

Next I think I'm going to lower my car and tint it. Or debating just tinting it and putting my BBS rims back on. I had a set of clear corners, but one of the clips broke and it fell out on the highway doing 80 so now I'm back to my OEM ones, which are so fugly.

it is made for my trunk yeah measured to branch across from left to right perfectly. I am going to post trunk pictures tomorrow. I tried taking a few on my phone, but they wouldn't come out good so I used my gfs digital, but she won't be sending them to me until tomorrow.

reminds me of my box building days! wish I could throw up some pics but my computer was wiped couple weeks ago. :(

I see that you guys did a quick one huh ? I used to have to paint-prep them so they would be smooth as J-lo's ass.

looks like some fiberglass fun, i remember when i did a custom enclosure in my 300E. It was awsome except that it leaked alot.
Now that i look back i kinda want to make another, excpt for all the stickey goop everywhere and the itchey nights, and i kinda got sick for like a month. LOL

O and this first pic was taken when i was like half way done taking it out. The thing is still sitting in my garage as-is. The amp is broken though.

Mine looks ghettotoo, but I was tired of waiting, and just wanted them in. Sound's killer though. I'll through up some pic's later. I'm running 2 MB Quart Reference 12's and a Memphis MCD1000.

you say those subs require 800 watts apiece? hmmmm thats more unlikely...maybe for 5 seconds most subs give there max rating , the rating you would be looking for is the RMS rating... whats the name of those subs? subs i have seen that can handle power like that are alpine type X , diamond D6 and D9's etc. as far as your alpine amp were you giving the RMS rating or total max output?

they're custom subs as I said not sure, my brother does this kind of stuff for a living hence him building the box. He was the one who said that each sub should have 800 watts to them. He said I can get away with 1000 which would be 500 to each so idk.

My alpine amp can do a max of 750 i believe again not sure. When it comes to car audio or I talk to my brother and let him give me the best setup. Hes been in the game for 10 years now so I trust him especially when it comes to my car.
