guys,
i have a c280 sport and hate the fake checkered trim pieces in the car. would love to turn it into piano black. can this be achieved in a paint shop? in order to get that depth of color, must it be resin coated?
thank you for your time.

you can have that overlay done in that color, I am a big fan of the black wood color, I know tinter101 did an overlay in blue I believe, not sure on the cost however...

Take the trim to a shop and have them spray it. Thats what I did on my S4. Should cost anywhere from 100-300 depending on the shop

i've done this for a few a4s/s4s for around $200- don't see how it would really be any more costly for your car

cool, a minisotan among us. i went to high school there, in west st paul.

so in order to achieve that finish, is there anything different done to it other than the usual step taken to paint any parts?

got any pics of your work? would love to see.

no extra tricks- just paint like you are painting the outside of a car black

it's all in the prep
