transmission used/rebuild

my transmission blew out on me!!!! argghhh!!! when i took it in and they checked it, there was no fluid in it!! damn.. i need to know who can rebuild my transmission for me. i'm in the sacramento area. also, i need to know if i can find a good used one or what other benz uses the same kind of transmission as mine. it's a '98 c43 so it doesn't have the auto stick trans in it. thanks for the help.

You should have the 722.6(I have the same one(722602) in mine(not the touch-shift/tiptronic bullshit). Funny thing is, is I was just looking for rebuild kits last night. A decent kit will run you about $1800(primary pump & all). A good used trans is about $3000 & a new is about $4500-5500 depending on where you shop.

Just do a google search on "mercedes 722.6 rebuild kits" or "Mercedes 722.6 used" , ect, ect..you get the picture. Either way you slice it. It WILL NOT be a cheap venture for you.
