View Full Version : Cheap window tint
Ok, so I am a very cheap kid, but really want a window tint. I know most tints cost up-words of $200. I found this... and was wondering if any1 knew if it was legit. http://www.snaptint.com/car_tint_Mercedes_C230_1998_sedan_complete.html
You can get an installation kit for $15 which is stupid... but if you do, with the code "SUMMERFREE" free express shipping...
So, for $90, the tint, the shipping and the kit, does this thing have to suck???
It does say, "All SnapTint products are backed by a Lifetime Performance Warranty never to turn purple, fade, bubble, or peel. "
Just want to know if you guys know how this is?
~Thanks

Wow... Don't cheap out on tints man.. Just get it done at a shop. They give warranty also. If anything happens they can redo it if it was their fault. Or if the tint is faulty or they messed up on installation. AND PROFESSIONALLY DONE. If you do it yourself, its mostly going to come out like crap.

First of all, getting the tint pre-cut and to your door is the easy part. I could cut your patterns on my system and send it to you for $40. The entire deal with tint is the install. If you haven't done this many times before, it will look like crap. What happens when you mess up a window? More money and shipping. This is something to save for and you will be very happy. There is a website www.tintdude.com. Check it out and they have a shop locater also. You can post questions to tinters in your area and see who will cut you a break on price. Hope this helps, Scott.
P.S. Don't forget you will probably need to put felt on your moldings before you tint.
