Adding a sunroof?

My W202 (canada version go figure) didnt come with the optional sunroof. To me really, this is the biggest thing missing that I want for my car.

Would getting a roof put in be something not recommended on a 202 chassis?

With the falling prices and age of the W202, sunroofs are another one of those things where you either enjoy what you have or sell your current car and buy another one that has the more desirable items already on it.

I gotta say that I like them a lot. But I honestly don't know if it's worth putting one in aftermarket.

I personally love them. An open window does no justice...a buffeting noisy mess!

I just picture me getting a "mod" done that involves cutting of a roof though.

screw a sunroof, get an entire custom glass roof like the new e-class' and c's... now that would be baller!

one time on Viva La Bam, i saw them cut a sunroof in a gallardo with a jigsaw. Guess you could try that lol.

Try to find a writeoff 202 with a sunroof and get the mechanism, the cables and the roof carpet as its a whole different shape and take them to a sunroof shop to install it for you. Do your research first to see if they are able to provide you with just their services and how waterproof it will be in comparison with the OEM installation. Also what type of sealant mercedes uses etc.
