These normally are secured with double-sided tape.

Just make sure you clean the existing plastic kick plates with a cleaner that will remove grease, wax, dirt etc so that the double-sided tape has something clean to hang on to.

They should look great!

I would suggest covering them with the 3M clear protection plastic. The thresholds do tend to get scuff'd up.

When yuo pull off the old ones, take the rubber ends and stick them onto the AMG sills. It will cover the sharp edges of the AMG sills.

They go on top of the OEM ones... And double sided tape wont do shit... Silicone them on top of the OEM ones. You must completely remove the OEM set and once you glue the AMG on top, wrap it with tape (double rings in every 3-4 inches) and leave them overnight to dry. Then install.

And you might want to do something about those sharp edges too because your pants or even worse, the passengers pants will get caught sometimes. Mine did and I almost rip the entire sill apart... My cousin did the passenger one and I thank God it didnt brake. Yours on the other hand are just INOX, ergo more durable.

yea I have a similar set but mine used to light up, the double sided tape sucks i only kept them because they didnt look Soooo bad. yea some clear vinyl over them would be cool they get scuffed up easy. my rear ones are all bent and cracked already from ignorent people. :confused:

over all I think the set I had was total POS quaility. I need to find a new glowing set that REPLACES my stock ones instead of covers them.

Who makes the ones to replace the stock ones? A friend has a '00 c230 that has aluminum ones. My '98 C43 has cheap plastic ones with thin aluminum strips that are peelling.
