rubbing sound

i have a sqeaking noise on the right hand side of my car, i think its coming from the front. when i open my hood and push the car down, it makes a rubbing sound...what you guys think? i know i never drove over a pothole. please help! thanks

The rubbing has to be from somewhere in the suspension. You should jack up the car and remove the wheel. Make sure you put in a minimum of two towers under the car and lower the car onto them. Then lift up the jack again for additional support without raising the car off the towers.

Carefully lift and lower the arm so you can see where the rubbin is taking place.
