wondering if anyone can answer some ??s. I have a 1997 c280 with the mbtex interior with power seats. I was wondering if the "sport" leather interior from a 1999 model would swap in without problems? will the plugs that power the motors need modding or will they snap right in? Will the door panels snap in? they appear to be different. trim pieces look different, as does the actual armrest and the leather is wrinkled. Any 1997 owners try this? any help would be appreciated. I did several searches but couldnt find a specific answer.
My car was built in 02/97, but it does not have the facelift bumpers. so i guess my car is pre facelift? does this have any bearing at all on interior being different from the 1999 as far as brackets and door handles and such?
Thanks again.

PS if the swap is doable, my black mbtex interior will be up for sale. All seats and door panels included. No rips, scratches of any kind. interior is in great shape, if anyones interested email me for details.(this is only if the interiors can be swapped, obviously.lol)

I think the plugs may fit but I could be wrong, why not try and remove a loom and see if the plugs on the new interior and yours are the same.

Your thinking will cost you a lot of money.
Just for your information.

Steve from MBenzNL has put in an electric interior into a car that didnt have one previously. Frenchy has done the same on his W202. With enough preparation anything is possible.

Yes anything is possible if you are willing to spend money. You can turn your car into a spaceship or a transformer. That's what I'm saying..

not sure what u guys are referring to. my car already has power seats. i was just asking if the 97 and 99 plugs were the same. if not, could i replace the motors/plugs from the old seat to the new.? thanks for the replies. JRE have you done this swap before? if so, what expenses did you encounter?
