Hi - I don't know if this has been posted before.
I turn on the Climate Control unit and the ac comes on as usual with cold air. But upon slowing down or turning a corner or stopping: The climate Control blinks for a few seconds and then the OFF light is displayed. During this blinking phase (sometimes no lights are displayed at all), I hear a loud clicking sound from behind the dash on the passenger side near the door. I can turn the Climate Control Unit back on, but it will immediately do the same thing. What is causing this??
Also, the center vents are not working at all and only the side vents are working.
Some recent history, during acceleration (going uphill, moving from standstill, etc), the inside blower fans would shutdown until engine was no longer under any strain.
Pulled the AC permanent error code of 49 and intermitment codes of 50 & 60.
I am not too sure if I need repair my car or take to dealer, can anyone help.? Nenad HELP!!
Thanks - Scotty

Someone must have experienced this!!
Please.. Someone please share your experiences and possible solutions..
Thanks

no, but I know exactly how frustrating A/C repairs are!!!
I just spent $300 on a new condenser, $75 to recharge, and guess what ... the clutch wont engage - when we ran SDS on it, it said that 4 of my sensors are fucked!@!!!! I am so fucking pissed right now you have no idea and its only about 115F outside and my digital termometer reads 140F inside my car while I drive.

Isolated this to the power for the Climate Control. The power for the Climate Control is shorting out or something is pulling big amps. Anyone have the wiring diagram for the Climate Control Unit??
PLEASE.....
Could this be caused by the Blower Resistor??

It's about time to take in to a shop.

I didn't receive the year and model from you yet.

you can get wiring diagrams from www.alldatadiy.com just subscribe for your car's manual, its the similar one I have(mitchell1), except I can't rip it and email it to you.

You are probably right.. Today coming home in 95+deg weather, the Climate Control was turning on/off by itself really fast. On acceleration, braking, turning, road bumps: All caused the Control Unit to react. ITS POSSESSED ! !
Nenad,
Can you please just look up the CCU and provide which to trace that powers the CCU. The CCU has 2 bundles of wires (one on each side) coming in. I need to find power wire and trace it back thru a fuse or relay. Im willing to take the whole dash apart to find the source. Also need to find the grounding (Brown Ground) point for the unit. Maybe its loose/broken.
This thing is shorting out really bad. Its like wires somewhere are grounding out or touching. The getto slam against the dashboard, does not work. Just makes it continue to blink off and on.

It's probably the duo valve (mono valve) located on the firewall passenger side.

I doubt that its the duo valve (mono valve). That controls the antifreeze to supplement heat on really cold days. Although its on always, even in the summer, its just dribbles to moderate the A/C temp. I changed the aux water pump with the duo valve during the winter. The CCU code 49 pulled was due to unplugging the aux water pump temporary (too see if it was pulling too many amps & causing my problems). The Duo valve is working fine and its not electrical.... My problem is electrical. I have flashing lights here. But I do have cold air for the very short periods that the CCU is not blinking off & on (Like sitting still at a light).
Need to know what else is on this wiring circuit. Something is causing this. :(

I was able to rip the diagram, so post or PM me your email and I'll send it to you.

Took to a shop. The harness to the AC drier was frayed and grounding itself out from movement. Fixed the wiring and replaced the Crossover Vacuum Valve & Climate Control Unit with my spare one.
The vacuum test shows 3 lines were leaking. How can I repair those lines? Is their a vacuum repair kit? How do you makeup new lines?

You can buy tubing fairly cheap. Don't bother trying to repair tubing that is dry or cracked.

Ordering the tubing.
How do I connect this tubing?
Do I need to purchase new connectors or can I somehow use the old connectors?
How do the connectors hold on to the tubing?
Dont understand how these hoses work...
Thanks in advance for your help.

My comment before was just a general statement.
Which lines are leaking?
The lines run from the switch valve to the flappers.
You should start at the flappers to see if they hold vacuum then look to the lines. The flapper are the vents.
The vacuum is what opens and closes the oriface doors to allow air to flow from the vents.

Yep.. I know how it works and have a diagram of the hose path.. I understand how the flapper/vents work and how to test the lines. But I dont know how to fix/replace the cracked/leaking line. So, what are the steps to replace the hoses? Is there some secret to attaching the new hoses to the old connectors?
If Im going to change the lines leaking (all behind the dash), then Im thinking of replacing all of them while I have the dash removed. Tested all of the lines from the vacuum crossover valve and 3 of them are leaking. Two of the leaking lines are going to the right center vent and one to the floor vent.
The other problem that Im solving while the dash is removed, is the power to the blower. When the car is under load, the blower stops and does not come back until the load is removed (Loads: normal accelerating, going uphill, etc.). Im thinking it maybe the blower resistor, but Im also checking if the cause is the flaps changing positions without my knowledge.
