is it okay to run 225/40/18 tires all around??? right now i have 255/35 in the rear and 225/40 in the front... the fronts wear out so damn quickly i want to be able to rotate them this time around...
do you think my car will handle normally still and will anything gets messed up, ie the traction and cruise control using 40 in the back???

My recent 1999 C43 came with 235/45ZR17 all around (on the stock AMG 7.5Jx17 and 8.5Jx17 wheels) with no noticeable handling issues.
However, I will be replacing them soon with Kumho Ecsta Asx (KU21) that received many great reviews on TireRack.com.
225/45ZR17 24.9" x 8.9" for the front.
255/40ZR17 25.0" x 10.2" for the rear.
They are NOT directional, but DO have an "OUTSIDE" side, so I suppose I could rotate them side to side.
I measure my tires frequently, and get an alignment before an uneven wear pattern gets very far, so I probably won't bother rotating them.

I'm running 225/40/18 all around. My cruise doesnt work tho but it's probably because my ABS light is on.

No, the light came on way later after getting my rims. I dont remember trying to use my cruise control after getting the 18s tho.

i used to run 225/45/17 tires on all fours and am currently running 235/40/18 all around and i havent had any problems, cruise control works in both scenarios, i think the only way you would have problems is if your rims are way staggered and you have to stretch the rears causing a significant change in diameters b/w front and rear, but ur rear tire would have to be pretty stretched
