contrary to popular belief, you DO NOT need a spacer up front.

You dont need one but its better, it may be even better to run a 5mm out back instead of a 10 mm spacer with that 10 inch wide wheel
Tire size and brand will be the decider...235/35 on my 8.5ET35 was hella close...so et40 will definaly need a 225...not sure of wall size though..
Was at startech the other day...had some really nice ~15-20 mm spacers off the rear of an SL,not much use to you i guess=)

cheers paul. yea they have long been a favorate of myne 2!
yea thats alot of rubber 2 fit in.
i got them off trademe for $1000k come with half worn rear tires and no rubber on front. wheel nuts and lock nuts, and free postage :-) hooked up i thought!
hows the 23t comming along?
my turbo arived yesterday,
and im waiting to get the stainless flanges back from the laser cutter at the moment, and will start migging and tigging in a week or so.
got my gearbox back together mint with all new bearings 2!.
when i get the pic's off my mates camera il put a post up on it.
peace
DEAL=)....(better than the deal that guy got last night on deal or no deal ha)
Some nice rubber on there too!
think im going to sell my old 245/35 F1's,there brand new and pretty sure im not going to put them back on the rear.
Great so almost into the manifold!,there will be some serious work in it!=)
awsome!,so you must have got all those cogs around the right way then ;)
yeh man lots of PICS=)
The 23t's running alright...have been working on getting the RPM going all week, looks like we may have a breakthrough but need to get a parameter changed at the tuners so that the motec ECU trigger voltage is above 1.5V so the bocsh ecu doesnt interfare with starting...fingers crossed it works cos we've tried everything(op-amps,diodes,resisters etc).
Its also still blowing a small bit of blue when its been idleing for ages, this must be rings,as the head looks good.but in saying this the engine has done around 400k's and needs more time before we can conclude the rings never bed in properly...so this weekend its up for a 8 hour trip to get k's on the clock and finally see that family i have=)
Peace

lol...just take it slow,SS bends are expensive=)
the 6-way collector will be interesting=)
if you end up with a log style remember to cut the flange between ports after you finish the manifold.

8 hr trip paul? were u going wellington?
sounds all gud, hopefully thel bed in and stop smokn,
dont worry bout that boost control just let it free boost like its doin it didnt get that high :-)
and hopefully you get that tricky computer sorted.
im so tempted to just go piggy back for simplicity so i can get my car going and on the road in the forseeable future
and cheers drm, yea i was happy with it,
someone said on the austion that they wont fit a c class, musta talked to the wrong forum :p
Prehapes i should have said 4 hours either way=)
Im just up here atm,had an interesting ride up,the roads are SH!T,4x4's would be swallowed up....just becasue of that flooding they had up here last week.
Gave it death on the way up it really hauls=)
checking the plugs earlier in the week i could see 123 had oil on the threads, but it was at the top of the thread only, which indicated it was burning of residual from when we had oil coming from that crank vent....#4 was wet all the way up the thread..hmmm:dead:
On the way up yesturday i had one or two instances where #4 must have detonated,or missed etc....but im leaning towards detonation as oil will cause this...also i was passing a car uphill WOT 3rd gear 5500 and it blue a cloud of blue only @ 5500 when it hesitated or more likely felt like it almost popped,it would be black if it missed, and because detonation causes extreme heat the blue would have been the oil burning off.
once the oil has burned off though there is no hesitation.
When i arrived last night we pulled out the plugs for a check...and the assumtions seemed to hold up,123 are now totally dry(for the first time ever),#4 is swimming in oil.
this is either rings/pistons or valve seals...but i have a theory that goes with the piston saga which may be to blame for this...if #4 isnt better when i get back on monday its all coming out.
oh yeh got the RPM going though the CAN bus earlier this week,we just needed to raise the trigger voltage on the motec to 1.5V so that the 1.5V the bosch ECU put out didnt interfair with the motec trigger...sounds easy but it took ages to figure that out lol.
