What about a C43 with an E55 swap. If I had a C43, that's wut I would do. Just wondering, will the E55 supercharged engine fit in a C43? That would be insane...

the e55k will w0rk but you would need a standalone system and alot of extra saftey cash

yea I was looking through some ad's the nicest c43 available around this area has 74,000 and cost 19,000 i think i'll just get the w210 if i can

2000 E55 AMG, 82k miles, silver/black, K&N filters, X-pipe (resonator delete), Performance crank pulley setup, Royal purple in drivetrain. Lots of OEM options: 6-disc changer, automatic rear sunshade, heated seats, AMG dynamic seats, OEM HID xenons, and a few other stuff. Its at my local dealership, you can get a great extended warranty through them as well for a great price as well. Asking $18k firm, dropped from 21k, thx.

Only reason I didn't trade up in 2000 or so was I didn't like the dark wood, and no fold-down seats (which I used a good deal on my C).

+1 for a E55 engine swap into a C43 for me. Power of the E55, 300 or so lbs less, and shorter gearing. ...makes for one nice and quick car with classic styling.

Other option, the guy who did my swap had a 500E for sale. About 14K. I really want it, but the sifie [edit:Wifie] won't let this one happen ... unless I sell my C, which I'm considering!

You'd do just fine with a Kleemann or even 1st gen HPS with upgrades with the stock 4.3L engine... or swap + S/C for an 12sec to maybe even 11.5sec (with other modz) 1/4 mile car!
